Soap News: Lisa Rinna in Playboy, Y&R’s Matchmaking Shocker and Billy Dee Williams joins General Hospital

My apologies for not getting around to posting the soap news and spoilers last week but I’ll make it up to you later this week when I post my exclusive interview with The Young and the Restless star Tonya Lee Williams from the ReelWorld Film Festival.

— Former Days of our Lives star Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie #1) poses in the May 2009 edition of Playboy. Here’s a twitter link of Oh No They Didn’t’s NSFW post. While her pictorial may make most of guys happy, she’s also upsetting some soap fans by telling Pop Eater that Guiding Light won’t be the last soap to go and that the entire genre may be extinct in 5 years. Rinna was in Toronto last week promoting her new fitness DVD, check out ET Canada’s interview here.

 — Star Wars’ Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) will be reprising his General Hospial: Night Shift role, Toussaint DuBois, on General Hospital this June. For the Canadian viewers who could not watch Night Shift legally, Toussaint played a janitor who romanced nurse Epiphany. Toussaint left the hospital at the end of the second season to tour with his group, The Saints.

 — Global has relaunched their website. Check out the new Days site here. Canadian fans can keep up to date with streaming episodes.

 — Lily tries to play matchmaker this week since she has nothing better to do and sets up Colleen with Rafe…unaware that he’s gay.

— Eden Riegel returns to All My Children on April 24^th for a week to usher off Tamara Braun’s Reese.

— Ed Fry will reprise his role as Alison’s estranged father Larry on As The World Turns beginning May 25^th. As previously reported, Cady McClain will return as Rosanna next month. Rosanna is expected to wake up from her second coma on May 20^th.

All My Children: Zach and Liza hook up at the casino while Colby talks to Amanda about her mother. JR is upset when Adam sides with Scott. Krystal hopes that David will take her back after she returns to Wildwind and Kendall is upset when Ryan quits Fusion.

As The World Turns: Luke finds out that Noah is in trouble and later falls into Zoe’s trap. Damien and Holden fight while Lisa helps Damian with a mystery. Katie worries that something is not right with Henry and Vienna. Liberty’s news upsets Parker.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Marcus crashes Steffy’s bridal shower. Nick gives Bridget a gift while Jackie sets up ground rules for Owen. Ridge and Taylor continue causing problems for Rick and Steffy as Taylor plays an incriminating tape of Rick to Steffy.

Days Of Our Lives: Sami tries to stop EJ and Nicole’s wedding while a hit man shoots Philip. Kate and Stefano face off. Victor lashes out at Nicole for marrying EJ. Victor vows revenge against the DiMera’s.

General Hospital: Carly finds out that she is pregnant. Jason advises Carly not to tell Jax about the pregnancy until after she tests positive for the blood disorder. Claudia also finds out that she is pregnant. Nikolas finally comes to his senses and believes Alexis that Rebecca could be working for Helena. Jax confronts Jerry. Robin and Patrick face another tragic setback.

Guiding Light: Alan keeps Phillip locked up in a padded room. Shayne and Dinah head to Bosnia. Marina decides to quit the police force in favor of being a full time mother. Olivia tells Natalia to think about what their affect their relationship will have on her children and her faith.

One Life To Live: David and Dorian break up. Brody decides to tell Jessica the truth, as does Gigi with Rex. Viki thinks that Todd is in love with Tea. Starr and Cole ask Kyle to run a DNA test with Starr’s sample of Hope’s hair.

The Young and the Restless: Lily finally accepts Cane’s 100^th proposal. Paul proves that Clint died from a heart attack; however things are still looking bad for Kevin. Heather tells Adam that she still loves her. Katherine plans a memorial service for Marge. JT feels guilty for working over Colleen for Victor. Cane calls Chloe to pick a drunken Billy up.
