Seinfeld and the Soup Nazi in new Super Bowl ad, Kristen Bell’s House of Lies renewed and more

— The auto industry seems to be releasing all the new Super Bowl commercials early. This one features Jerry Seinfeld and the Soup Nazi (Larry Thomas):

— Sorry Justin Hartley fans, Hung‘s Stephen Amell has been cast to play Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in The CW’s new pilot.

Bryan Cranston will be directing an episode of Modern Family.

— Speaking of Modern Family, Sofia Vergara has been named AskMen.com‘s #1 Most Desirable Woman of 2012.

— NBC’s loss is Fox’s gain: the network has picked up Mindy Kaling‘s pilot about an OB/GYN who balances her personal and professional life. Kaling will write and star in the project. Okay NBC, you give Whitney a shot but not a female comedian with a proven track record?

— Captain Benjamin Sisto (aka Avery Brooks) was busted for a DUI. What would Jake think?

Paul Brittain has abruptly left Saturday Night Live.

— ABC has picked up Judy Greer‘s pilot.

— Check out an analysis of all the X Factor firings.

Snooki and J Woww aren’t allowed to film their Jersey Shore spin-off in Hoboken. In related news, Snooki might be pregnant. A nugget having a nugget.

— It looks like Justin Bieber and Jonah Hill will each host Saturday Night Live next month.

— All the ABC shows are reruns tonight, so no Happy Endings or Revenge. Global’s airing a new episode of The Office tonight at 9:30 p.m. instead of tomorrow if you’d like to watch it without the other NBC comedies, go ahead. Over in late night, John Krasinski is on Kimmel, Tracy Morgan and Tim Tebow are on Fallon (hmmm “Tebowie” redux?) and William Shatner is on Ferguson.

— Showtime has renewed Shameless, Californication and House of Lies, which is great because hopefully we’re get more Kristen Bell scenes like this one:
