Soap News: EJ chooses between Sami and Abby on DAYS! Plus: The Cassie lookalike on Y&R

JJ will finally come clean to Jennifer about Daniel’s real role in what happened the night Theresa had her overdose. Jennifer rushes to see Daniel and they share a kiss. As for JJ, look for Bev to brighten up his first day of community service.

Things heat up between EJ and Abigail on the DiMera conference room table. How John and Marlena of them… Anyway, EJ will decide to pull back and becomes quite harsh when he tries to tell Abigail that she deserves a lot more than some torrid affair. EJ confesses that he’s in love with Sami and can no longer cheat on her.

EJ heads home to his fiancé where Sami tells him that despite being mad at Kristen and Stefano for what happened to Eric, she cannot let them – or anyone else – come between them. Sami and EJ make love and set their wedding date for May.

Eric tells Caroline about his decision to leave the priesthood and Sami immediately blames Nicole, knowing that she must somehow be responsible. Sami later warns Eric that Nicole will break his heart. Marlena is determined to find out from Nicole about what really happened with Dr. Chyka. Marlena may also head to Stefano for help. Look for Eric to defend Nicole to Theresa. Jennifer later gives Eric a photography job at the hospital.

Meanwhile, Adrienne is less than thrilled when she finds out that Will and Sonny are getting married. She thinks they are too young. Jordan’s brother, Ben, applies for a job at Club TBD. Sami takes Ciara earring shopping. Aiden is later judgmental of Hope when he thinks she purchased Ciara all those earrings. Someone looks at photos of Abigail and EJ on Smith Island.

— Not much news to report from last week other than reps for General Hospital have confirmed that Natalia Livingston will be return to the soap as Emily’s ghost. Such a shame, imagine if Victor had told Robin that Emily and Georgie were among those she could save along with Jason, Helena and Stavros? Speaking of the Cassadines, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that GH is interested in having Stephen Nichols return as Stefan.

Rants & Raves: The Cassie lookalike on Y&R

Fans were surprised to find out that Camryn Grimes is no longer just playing Cassie’s ghost (or a figment of Sharon’s imagination) on The Young and the Restless, but a new character who was hired by Victor (Eric Braeden) to gaslight Cassie’s mother, Sharon (Sharon Case).

Victor had the good sense to call things off but Faux Cassie informed TGVN that she’s close to figuring out Sharon’s secret (Lab wiz Sharon switched Summer’s paternity test).

Fans were quickly irked that the writers who have Victor stoop to yet another new low by manipulating the memory of his deceased step-granddaughter. At Chancellor Park, Victor spoke out loud to his dear departed friend Katherine of his latest scheme but trusted she’d understand he was doing it to protect Nick (Joshua Morrow). Sure. Sure, he is.

Thank god we found out that Victor did get some poor girl to change her appearance via plastic surgery (the old regime did quite enough of that) but he simply “ran into” the doppelgänger (then with darker hair) at Crimson Lights.

I’m far more interested in what happens after this gaslighting story is done. It would be much more beneficial to the show if this character was them one who was playing Victor. What are the odds that this lookalike just happened to run into him at Crimson Lights, the coffee shop Cassie’s parents owned when she was alive? Hopefully she fully knew who she looked like way before Victor hired her. So what is she? Cassie’s twin? It would be interesting for them to explain how younger brother Noah (Robert Adamson) is now the eldest.

It’s great having Grimes back on Y&R and I do think that fans and critics would be understanding if the writers carefully crafted a proper storyline. We’re intrigued but we’re going to need something a lot more than having Sharon realize she gave birth to twins and not just one kid all those years ago.

Coronation Street (CBC): Norris tells Tracy about Rob and Tina’s kiss.
Tracy complains to Rob that Norris refused to serve her. Sophie confronts Maddie about their kiss. Lloyd confesses his crush on Andrea. Dev and Kal find working together intolerable. Norris tells Tracy that Tina and Rob kissed. Anna is cautious as Owen gets excited about the new mill project. Rob moves in with Carla and Peter. Rita is upset by Gloria and Dennis. Rob tells Carla he wants Tracy back. Is Steve jealous of Andrea and Lloyd? Sophie confides in Tim about Maddie.

Days of our Lives (NBC/Global): Abby fights for EJ!
Theresa demands that Daniel sleeps with her. Someone eavesdrops on a conversation between Abigail and EJ. Ciara accidentally makes things worse between Hope and Aiden. Jordan’s brother Ben spies on Rafe and Jordan. JJ defeats Theresa. Nicole moves to guarantee her future with Eric. Abigail makes it clear to EJ that she’s not giving up – Abby is fighting for EJ! Sonny accuses Gabi of throwing Kate and Sami under the bus. Daniel sticks up for Nicole to Marlena. Brady and Eric have a bitter exchange. JJ tells Jennifer the truth about how he called Daniel to help Theresa. Note: DAYS is pre-empted on Thursday due to NBC’s Olympic coverage.

General Hospital (ABC/City): Robin reveals her news to Patrick and Emma.
Nikolas arranges for a Valentine’s Day surprise for Britt. Liz struggles with her feelings. Franco fights for his life as Carly waits by his side. Patrick finds out why Robin has been so distant. Lucas and Morgan bond. The feud between the Corinthos’ and Jeromes get more intense. Patrick turns to Anna with his dilemma. Lulu is worried about Luke. Nikolas dismisses Britt’s concerns. Liz makes a move. Heather’s information provides many with relief. Victor tightens his grip on Robin. Robin has some news for Emma. Sonny and Michael start to doubt Kiki.
