— Look for things to heat up between Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Sheryl (Jade Harlow) this week when the co-workers hit the sheets on Days of our Lives. But the happiness for Lucas (and his fans) won’t last as Kate (Lauren Koslow) leaves an incriminating message on Lucas’ machine. How will Sheryl react knowing Lucas’ mother has been using her to go after Jordan? How will Lucas react towards Kate when Sheryl leaves?
As for newly weds Will (Guy Wilson) and Sonny (Freddie Smith), they celebrate their honeymoon at the Salem Inn but Sonny can’t help but worry about Gabi’s (Camila Banus) relationship with the creepy Nick Fallon (Blake Berris). Meanwhile, after catching some serious shade from Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) for not allowing Nick to attend Will/Sonny’s wedding, Sami (Alison Sweeney) realizes how close Gabi and Nick have gotten and heads over to confront Gabi. Gabi won’t take it from Sami, look for the confrontation to get a bit physical.
— Some potential good news for Daytime Emmy fans: two broadcast networks may be interested in airing the ceremony this June.
— Corday Productions is teaming up with All Screens Media to launch a new project, Net Soaps, which aims to create and distribute original “interactive” online soaps which let the fans, actors and advertisers participate in the shows’ development. Days of our Lives’ executive producer Greg Meng will lead the project while former DAYS star Crystal Chappell (who has created Venice, Beacon Hill) is expected to vet concepts, produce, direct and mentor new talent, according to Variety.
— Eric Braeden (Victor, The Young and the Restless) and Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda, General Hospital) are among the stars participating at the 2014 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Pro/Celebrity race on April 12. Both were on hand for the press day on April 1. Check out the photos below.

- What was the point of General Hospital resurrecting AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) if they were just going to kill him off almost two years later? And on the 51st anniversary show no less? Head writer Ron Carlivati and executive producer Frank Valentini were intent on “rebuilding” the Quartermaine family but nothing has really translated onscreen. The only way they may be able to appease fans would be if Michael (Chad Duell) found out Sonny (Maurice Benard) killed AJ and got him out of his life for good and changed his last name from Corinthos to Quartermaine.
- How are the writers at The Young and the Restless supposed to make us care for Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Tyler (Redaric Williams) as a couple? Should we really care about their engagement? Watch that offscreen tramp Mariah suddenly show up at their wedding. These instant-couples really need to be reworked. Dare I say it but fans may be more interested in Noah (Robert Adamson) and his relationship with former 21 Jump Street cop Courtney (Kelli Goss). Funny how after countless of writing changes, they have yet to figure out a plan for Noah. The Newman heir has no idea what he wants to do with his life except live in some nasty apartment building. The writers need to take a look at how The Bold and the Beautiful write for an plan out stories for their “young” characters. One last Y&R gripe of the week: How are we supposed to buy that 50-year-old Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) think she’s pregnant? Seriously.
