— After U2 had to back out of their Tonight Show residency this week, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots went on to perform their 1988 hit “Desire.” Jimmy as Bono, naturally:

— The Originals has promoted Yusuf Gatewood to a series regular.

— After the launching of Gracepoint, Fox is looking to adapt Luther for American audiences. Neither Idris Elba or Ruth Wilson will star (but Elba will still be a producer)  – Will you still watch?

— Hulu has picked up the Amy Poehler executive produced Difficult People, which stars Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner. The pilot was originally shot for USA Network. No word yet if a Canadian broadcaster has picked it up.

— FX is co-producing a series which was created by and will star Tom Hardy along with the BBC.

— TBS has renewed American Dad! for another season.

Michael Ealy will appear on the third season of The Following.

— Both Homeland and The Affair’s ratings continue to rise south of the border on Showtime, which is great. I know some may have abandoned Homeland some time ago, but this season has been pretty intense. Good to know both shows will be back for another season.

Ed Sheehan, Ariana Grande and Hozier will join Taylor Swift for this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, airing on December 9th at 10 p.m. on CBS and Global.

— Lost Girl will premiere its fifth and final season beginning December 7th on Showcase. Check out the new trailer:
