— Look for Marlena (Deidre Hall) to be attacked by the Necktie Killer next week on Days of our Lives! Marlena struggles for her life on the Wednesday, September 23 and Thursday, September 24th episodes.

Bo (Peter Reckell) attempts to escape from his captors on the Friday, September 25th episode, just as Patch (Stephen Nichols) makes headway in the search for his missing friend. Patch won’t be off on his mission alone — Joey (James Lastovic) has tagged along. Look for Patch to tell Joey the story of his relationship with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) to prove how much he loves his family.

— Serial Scoop has confirmed what was first teased by Daytime Confidential back in June: Shawn Christian is set to exit DAYS as Dr. Daniel Jonas. While the doc does leave Salem in a body bag, it won’t be at the hands of Salem’s latest serial killer. Christian first joined DAYS in 2008.
— All My Children alum Michael E. Knight (ex-Tad “The Cad” Martin) is heading over to The Young and the Restless to portray the recurring role of Dr. Simon Neville. Head on over to TV Insider for the full scoop from Knight about his role, “a doctor of questionable repute.” The actor reported to the Y&R set last week and will begin airing on October 14 (in Canada; Oct. 15 in the U.S.).
— General Hospital’s Tequan Richmond (T.J.) has been cast on Lena Waithe’s (Dear White People) upcoming drama pilot for Showtime. Richmond assumed the role of GH’s T.J. in 2012 and has sat on the back burner until recently when he began singing the praises of Mr. Corinthos.
— Soap Opera Digest is reporting that GH has cast an African-American male in an upcoming lead role. No word yet on the name of either the character or actor.
— Soaps In Depth confirmed that Bradford Anderson will be reprising his role as Spinelli on GH in the near future — could it be for the big Jake/Jason reveal?
