Soap News: Tyler Christopher Returning to GH this September! Plus: GH Now On Demand in Canada

Tyler Christopher told Soaps In Depth during General Hospital Fan Club Weekend that he’ll likely return to set as Nikolas this September. “I’m excited to go back. It’s going to be surreal because I’ve never taken that much time off. And the character has gone in a different direction, so they haven’t told me how they’re going to pick it up.” Click here for more. The actor abruptly took leave from the series in late spring (reportedly due to lengthy contract negotiations) while Nick Stabile took over the role until the other week.

— Canadian fans hoping to catch up on General Hospital via On Demand are in luck. City has finally added the soap to their On Demand roster. While fans were able to catch up online at citytv.com on the City app, they can now do so on TV. GH is the last soap to arrive On Demand in Canada. CTV and Global have made The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless for years.

— Coming up this week on General Hospital (ABC/City): Nina (Michelle Stafford) is seduced on Tuesday (August 2) while Franco (Roger Howarth) is held for questioning. Jason (Billy Miller) has news. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) confides in Morgan (Bryan Craig).

On Wednesday (August 3), Scott (Kin Shriner) suggests that Nina is better for Franco than Liz (Rebecca Herbst) is. Nathan (Ryan Peavey) wants to press forward with wedding plans. Morgan doesn’t understand why Kiki (Hayley Erin) is upset. On Thursday (August 4), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) vouch for Jason. Nina is confused by what she hears. Dillon (Robert Palmer Watkins) has awkward news to break to Morgan. Nathan asks Maxie (Kirsten Storms) to trust him again.

On Friday (August 5), Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason intercept a dangerous scheme. Nina takes matters into her own hands. Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) emotions finally rise to the surface. Sam (Kelly Monaco) levels with Julian (William deVry). Next week: Liz tells Jason to back off while a young woman shows up to Bobbie’s (Jackie Zeman) party.

Not feeling what’s happening on screen either? Oh well, at least Jax (Ingo Rademacher) is back for a bit.

— Coming up this week on The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS/CTV Two): Wyatt (Darin Brooks) accuses Liam (Scott Clifton) of malice when he won’t back down about having seen Quinn (Rena Sofer) in the city on Tuesday (August 2). Emotions escalate between Quinn and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) who find themselves face-to-face in Monaco. Wyatt admonishes his mother for going over his wife’s head when while Steffy pleads with Eric (John McCook) to cut Quinn loose on Wednesday (August 3). Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) share a moment remembering Stephanie.

Eva (Kelly Kruger) helps Liam work through is true feelings for Steffy and Quinn on Thursday (August 4). Eric takes control of a very tense situation and does what he feels is right for himself and his family.

On Friday (August 5), Liam gives Steffy an option when he finds her alone on the beach contemplating her marriage. The more Wyatt hears from Eric about his relationship with Quinn, the more he worries about his own relationship with Steffy. Next week: Julius (Obba Babtundé) and Sasha (Felisha Cooper) verbally lash out at each other for their past mistakes. Sean Kanan’s back as Deacon on August 10.

Chad (Billy Flynn) remembers his father while he and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) continue their custody battle on Thursday (August 4). Jennifer imagines Jack (Matthew Ashford) comforting her on Friday (August 5). Rafe (Galen Gering) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) enjoy a romantic evening together.
