Toronto’s Chris Robinson was crowned winner while runner’s up included Vancouver’s Sophie Buddle and Toronto’s Che Durena. Both Sophie and Che will receive TV spots during the 2017 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal as well as a “double-threat” show during next year’s JFL42. Tom Green headlined the event, which was broadcast live on SixiusXM’s Canada Laughs (channel 168) and featured eight finalists who were judged by comedian Ron Funches, Aaron Hodges (SiriusXM’s Raw Dog Comedy), Zoe Rabnett (of JFL) and Rachel Goldstein-Couto (of Bell Media).  Canada Laughs host Ben Miner served as the event’s host.

Other finalists included Vancouver’s Kevin Banner and Graham Clark, Victoria’s Mike Delamont, Hamilton’s Mayce Galoni and Toronto’s Julia Hladkowicz.
