the accountant movie review

Cast: Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Cynthia Adda-Robinson, Jeffrey Tambor, Jean Smart, John Lithgow

Director: Gavin O’Connor

Writers: Bill Dubuque

Release: October 14

Theatre: Sat nearby some actual accountants during the screening and heard someone say, “Finally, a movie about us!” They were so excited. We were happy for them.

The Deal: Affleck plays a math genius who’s an accountant by day but does freelance work on the side for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organization. He’s being investigated by the U.S. Treasury Dept. (led by Simmons and Adda-Robinson) just as he’s been hired by a robotics company where Kendrick’s accounting clerk has discovered a discrepancy.

The Accountant is also a family story about two brothers that you can watch with your bro without getting all emotional.
