Ryan Peavey confirmed his exit from General Hospital this past week during a #AskGH Twitter session as Nathan died onscreen with Maxie (Kirsten Storms) by his hospital bedside after being shot by Faison (Anders Hove).

“Okay guys, so to get this one out of the way early… for now, yes, Nathan West will be gone. The decision was mine. [Executive Producer] Frank Valentini and I sat down to talk as gentlemen, and while he was disappointed, he gave me a better send-off than I ever could have asked for, and I will always be grateful.”

Peavey’s exit from GH after four years gave way to some incredible performances by Storms, Michelle Stafford (Nina), Kathleen Gati (Liesl) and Dominic Zampgrona (Dante).

In addition, there were some great scenes by Hoves (Faison), Wes Ramsey (Peter/Heinrik) and Finola Hughes (Anna)… just what is Anna hiding?  I guess we’ll have to tune in to find out…
