Kyle Shore, the 24-year-old personal trainer from Porter’s Lake, NS, was the second houseguest eliminated from the second season of Big Brother Canada. I caught up with Kyle following his eviction to chat about his elimination, the alliance he had with Paul and Adel and who else he’s rooting for.

You’ve been out of the house for about half of a day now. You saw the fan reaction last during at the taping as well as the engagement on the Google Hangout this afternoon. What was it like seeing fans and getting feedback from them?

It was great! It was surreal to me. I couldn’t believe it. I loved all the positive feedback. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not in it for the, or trying to boost my ego, but everything came from the heart and I’m so glad that the fans see that.

I’m so glad that the fans are being really appreciative because my whole goal was to be myself in there and at the end of the day, to just come out with my head held high and get a good message out there before I left. I’m so glad about the feedback. I love all the fans, even the negative ones.

What was your strategy? What went wrong?

My strategy going into the game was to survive week one. After that, I had to rethink my plan. Obviously, I took to our fearless leader Paul, who could have lead us off a cliff and still not know what was going on!

I’m not going to say that it was a downfall, but I defended a guy who was getting barraged by everyone around him. I stood up for him. I can accept that. I did not just get backdoored by sitting around and twiddling my fingers. I stood up for myself and I stood up for the people close to me.

You give a good speech when you left.

Don’t ask me to repeat it, buddy! It came from the heart. [Laughs]

Let’s discuss the division in the house. It was you, Paul and Adel against everyone else. How did this divide come about? Was it because of what Paul said to Andrew or was it bigger than that?

It was much bigger than that. In life, the truth hurts and no one wants to hear the truth. Usually those who tell the truth are the ones that are segregated and just standing in the back of a room. Adel and I exposed alliances. We told them about the final three, about who’s connected to who and at that moment it would be foolish not to keep away from the guys who are selling it out left, right and Sunday.

Big Brother After Dark and the live feeds are great. I recommend that everyone watches those more. You’ll see that Paul was the one getting attacked [by Andrew] in the first place. Paul has a kind heart. Paul apologized to Andrew, but Andrew never apologized to Paul.

It is what it is. He has to live with it. Andrew can talk all he wants, but Paul is going to keep quiet and it’s going to piss him off even more.

Who was in this final three alliance?

The game changed, so I don’t even know anymore. But I do know that it was Jon, Kenny and originally myself. We were going to boot out Andrew and then it switched. There were a few girls in there, I’d have some names but I’m not quite sure anymore. But, I do know that Jon and Kenny are the final two in their minds right now. It just all depends on how the rest of the house is playing. Heather and Rachelle may be with them too, but I’m not 100% sure. I’ve got to update myself. I could be in for a surprise.

You saw Allison go into the house last night. How do you feel about this twist?

Let me back in the house! It’s what I’ve been saying all day. If she’s single, I want in. What’s going on here? [Laughs] This horn dog was thrown in with a group of nuns!

Well, you never know. There could be another twist where you’re voted back in.

Hopefully, buddy. At the end of the day, it is what it is. I really appreciate the fans. I hope they keep watching!

How do you see Paul and Adel doing?

God love Paul, but he couldn’t put a beach ball in the ocean. I’m really hoping he makes it as far as he can. I hope Adel calms down a bit because he’s like a little firecracker. He’s like that bug in the nighttime who is flying around your ear – he can be a nuisance, but I love him to death. He’s a brother to me and I hope that he goes far. We’ll have to see.

Is there anyone else that you are rooting for?

Arlie! Yes, this guy is a machine. He has a dumb grin on his face and says the most unpredictable things. He’s in the washroom more than he is in the diary room. You’re going to see big things out of this kid.
