A Canadian broadcaster has been announced for The Good Fight, which is The Good Wife spinoff that is slated to debut on CBS All Access in the U.S. Corus Entertainment’s W Network will broadcast the series in Canada.

The Good Fight will premiere Sunday, February 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on W Network — the same time it is made available on streaming service CBS All Access in the U.S. and air on CBS. Global, which was the home of The Good Wife, will simulcast the premiere, but all episodes will then air exclusively on W Network. At this time, W Network only has linear rights to the series, meaning Canadian viewers will only be able to watch the series when it airs on W Network each Sunday night (or PVR) — one of the busiest nights on television. Following the premiere, The Good Fight will air Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on W Network.

The Good Fight is the highly anticipated spinoff of the Julianna Margulies-fronted series which aired for seven seasons, from 2009 until 2016. The series is also created by Robert and Michelle King (and will be the showrunners), with Christine Baranski reprising her role as Diane Lockhart. The events of The Good Fight will pick up a year following the final broadcast episode of The Good Wife. An enormous financial scam wipes out Diane’s savings while simultaneously destroying the reputation of a young lawyer, Maia, who will be played by Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones) — who is also Diane’s goddaughter. As Diane is forced out of Lockhart & Lee, she and Maia join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at one of Chicago’s pre-eminent law firms.

Rounding out the main cast are Justin Bartha (as Colin Morrello and potential love interest of Lucca), Delroy Lindo (as Adrian Boseman, an attorney who begins poaching Diane’s associates and clients), Sarah Steele (as Marissa Morrello, who begins working as Diane’s secretary) and Erica Tazel (as Barbara, a founding partner at Diane’s new law firm). Recurring cast members throughout the first season will include Gary Cole, Paul Guilfoyle, Helene Yorke, Bernadette Peters, Zach Grenier, Jerry Adler and Carrie Preston.

Ten episodes will be produced for the first season. Check out a trailer and photos from the series below.
