Netflix has announced that the release of Gaga: Five Foot Two will premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and will launch simultaneously in all 190 countries in which Netflix is available on Friday, September 22, 2017.

Gaga: Five Foot Two will give fans an intimate and unfitted portrait of the year in the life of Lady Gaga and is helmed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Chris Moukarbel (Bansky Does New York). The documentary will “pull back the curtain” and introduce viewers to the woman behind the performer and go off-stage, in the studio and at her home — taking them on a journey through Gaga’s personal highs and lows and the culmination of a year’s emotional journey which will include struggles with relationships, health issues and finding solace in her inner circle while conquering her insecurities.

Lady Gaga is also set for an intimate performance during the festival, but no word yet not the date, however, TIFF runs September 7 to 17. Lady Gaga’s latest studio album, Joanne, was released last September. As an actress, Lady Gaga has appeared seasons season of American Horror Story and will next star alongside Bradley Cooper, Sam Elliott and Dave Chapelle in the remake of A Star Is Born, which is scheduled to be released in September 2018.
